随分と以前から細々とレザークラフトを続けています。最近〝革も天然染料で染めてみたい!!〟と思うようになり、まずは身近にあった柿渋で染めてみました。
I have continued the leather craft in addition to the dyeing and weaving. I think that I want to dye leather with natural dyes recently, so I tried to dyed with persimmon tannin.
※Persimmon tannin is a traditional dye in Japan. It’s made from persimmon.
柿渋を刷り込み刷毛（はけ）で塗りました。
I painted it on leather by brush.
塗っては乾かし――を繰り返して濃くしていきます。
I was continue to darken the color by repeating the coating.
その後、ひと月ほど陰干ししてから縫い上げたのがペンケースと小銭入れです。。
After that, I was sewing leather pen case and coin purse.
とてもいい感じに仕上がりました。

思った以上のできに、すごく満足しています。これからもっと研究して、染織品とともにレザークラフトも手掛けていこうと思います。これからの ひとつ屋を楽しみにしていてください。
That was more wonderful than I thought it would be. I am very satisfied. I’m going to make leather craft and textiles from now. I want to enjoy a more natural dyes.
