久しぶりに息子が工房にやって来て夢中に何かを作っています。

そういえば最近、勉強机の上にプラモデルを広げたままで勉強しない息子に「ちょっとは机の上を片付けて、少しは勉強せい！」と説教をしたばかり。で、〝勉強の机〟と〝趣味の机〟を別々にしたわけか。

それにしても〝カエルの子はカエル〟です。僕の中学生のときと同じことをやっています。なので、その気持ちは痛いくらいわかります。でも、来春からは受験生です。もう少し勉強しなくっちゃ!! よ。まぁ、彼の人生です。どんな道を歩んでいくのか、もう少し静かに見守ることにします。
