Taipei ReportーーIn search of dye plants.

It is a my blog that follows the previous “Taipei Report――Dihua Street”.

The purpose of my visit to Taipei is to find Chinese herbal medicines that can be used for plants dye. We investigated the Chinese name and herb name of the plant known as the dye in advance, and came to the “Dihua Street” where there are many Chinese herbal medicine stores.

迪化街

We found them!! Here we will find not only Chinese medicine shops but also shops dealing with cloth, buttons and tea leaves. Here we are full of the items we want. We walked around in the hot weather to see each shops.

This is a Chinese medicine shop.  Chinese medicine lined up side by side. It seems that all can be used as plant dyes. There are also many things that have not been tested for plants dyeing. We bought some herbal medicines for plants dye.

We was relieved to be able to achieve our main purpose in Taipei. So we took a break while eating Taiwan sweets.
