子供のころには、大阪市内でも見られたジュズダマ。誰もが遊べる格好のオモチャでした。しかし、いつのころからか全く見られなくなりました。先日、そんなジュズダマのタネをいただき、小さなバケツに入れていたら芽を出し、少しずつ生長しています。昔はどこででも見られた雑草なのに、今ではバケツの中の小さな世界で細々と生きているだけです。タネが取れれば、子供のころのように自由な発想で何かを作る材料にしたいと思っています。あッ！そうそうハト麦茶と同様に、お茶にもなるらしいので、頑張って増やしたいと思っています。
