藍の型染が美しいバックは、ひとつ屋の受講生さんの作品です。
一切の薬品（助剤）を使わず、伝統的な方法のみで染めていらっしゃいます。いわば “江戸時代のままの染め方” です。しかも、型彫りはもちろんのこと、バッグに仕立てる縫製作業も、ご自分でされています。さらに、このバックは藍に墨を混ぜて染めているので、実際には何ともいえない深みがあります。
手間暇をかけた作品は、使えば使うほどに味を増し、すべての工程を丁寧に行っていらっしゃるので、長く使える素晴らしいものになっています。

This beautiful indigo stencil-dyed bag is the work of a student at Hitotsuya.
It is dyed using only traditional methods, without using any chemicals (auxiliaries). In other words, it is a “dyeing method from before the advent of chemical dyes.” Moreover, the students not only dye the bag, but also sew it up themselves. Furthermore, the bag dyed with a mixture of indigo and ink has an indescribable depth to it.
These laboriously crafted pieces become more beautiful the more they are used, and because each step is carried out carefully, they are wonderful pieces that can be used for a long time.
