ひとつ屋では、偶数月に『草木染【一日体験教室】玉ねぎ染め』を開催しています。このワークショップでは草木染の基本的な方法をはじめ、なぜ染まるのか？ さらには世界の草木染やその歴史についても解説しています。
また’25年からは、媒染の違いによって変わる色を組み合わせてミニ手ぬぐいを染めるという、とても楽しい内容を加えました。写真は受講生さんの作品です。もちろん。すべてタマネギの皮で染めています。

Hitotsuya holds a one-day onion dyeing class on even-numbered months. This workshop covers the basic methods of plant dyeing, explains why it works, and also explains plant dyeing around the world and its history.
Since 2013, we have also added a fun activity where participants dye mini tenugui cloths by combining colors that change depending on the mordant used. The photo shows the work of a student. Of course, it is all dyed with onion skins.
