苧麻（からむし）や和綿（三河木綿）の栽培、さらには養蚕にもチャレンジしている ひとつ屋染料農園――。次なるチャレンジは「亜麻（あま）」の栽培とリネンづくりです！ と、宣言したいのですが、涼しいところを好む亜麻（フラックス）の栽培適地は、日本では北海道だけだそうです。
真夏には35℃を超えるうえ、しかも多湿な大阪では無理なのでしょうか—。まずは、実験的に栽培してみます。さて、どうなるか!? また報告します。
