座繰機――Hand filature

これなんだと思います？

これは「座繰機（ざぐりき）」と呼ばれるもので、繭（まゆ）から絹糸を引き出して巻き取るための道具です。以前から欲しかったのですが、新品で買うと結構な価格で、僕に手の出せるものではありません（で、なぜ？ これが欲しいかというと、ついに!! 繭から絹糸をとって織るつもりです）。で、探しに探して、ようやく手に入れました。なんと!! 2,980円でした。

This is a instrument for reeling filament(esp. silk) by hand. It is called a hand filature. It is a Japanese traditional hand filature that it called “Zaguri-ki”. I want this from before. But it is very expensive if I buy this in a new. So, I was not able to buy. （※ Because I want to reel silk off cocoons, I want this.） And I was able to finally get this in Internet auction. What!! It was $ 24（US）.

が、ご覧のとおりの年代もの（大正12年）。
But, as of old you can see（This was made in 1923）.

かなり古いので、もちろん壊れている部分もありますが、糸を巻き上げるための歯車が壊れていなかったので修理すれば使えそうです。
It is very old, so there is also the broken parts. But I could use if repair, because it was not broken gear for reeling the yarn.

そこで自分で壊れていた部分は作り直したり、板を剥ぎ合せたりして修復しました。
I recreated the broken parts. I made the lost parts.

修理に数日を要して、ついに!! 完成しました。
That has finally been completed.

100年近く前の〝木の機械〟がカタカタと心地よい音を立てながら再び動き始めました。繭から糸を引くには、もう少し道具が必要なので、すぐに使うことはできませんが、今からとても楽しみです。
Nearly 100 years ago of the “wooden machine” was began to move again while making a pleasant sound. I am not able to use soon, because it need a little more parts for reeling silk off cocoons by this machine. I’m looking forward to it !!
