藍のタネをまいてから1カ月ほどが過ぎました（以前の『藍の発芽』）。発芽しなかったり、ナメクジに食べられたり—と、毎年、この期間がドキドキです。今年もタネを鳥に食べられるというハプニングがありましたが、残った分はグングンと生長し、必要な数は確保できそうです。
夏には「藍の生葉染め」、秋には「乾燥藍葉染め」のワークショップを開催する予定です。

About a month has passed since I sowed the Japanese indigo seeds. It does not germinate in cold weather, and is eaten by slugs in warm weather. I am anxious about this period every year. There was a happening that the seeds were eaten by birds again this year. However, the remaining seeds have grown well, and I think I will be able to secure the seedlings I need this year as well.
We are planning to hold a workshop on “fresh indigo dyeing” in the summer and “dried indigo dyeing” in the fall.

自從我播下日本藍種子以來，已經過去了大約一個月。 它在寒冷的天氣裡不發芽，在溫暖的天氣裡被蛞蝓吃掉。 每年這段時間我都很焦慮。 今年的種子又被鳥吃掉了。 不過，剩下的種子長得不錯，我想我今年也能拿到我需要的苗子。
