ひとつ屋の圃場では染織にかかわる植物ばかりを栽培しています。今年は「三河木綿（ミカワモメン）」のタネをいただいたので、5月に連休にそれを蒔いて栽培を始めました（以前のブログ『三河木綿』をご覧ください）。それから約2カ月、数日前からチラホラと花が咲き始めています。ここ数年は洋綿ばかりを栽培していたので、改めて和綿の可憐な風情に魅了されます。収穫が楽しみです。

I grow only plants related to dyeing and weaving in my garden. This year, I received seeds of traditional Japanese cotton, so I am trying to cultivate them. The cottons has been blooming from a few days ago. Compared to Indian or American cotton, traditional Japanese cotton flowers are smaller and yellow. I’m looking forward to the harvest it！
